What does working together look like?

In everything I do, I center collaboration and curiosity. While I have trainings, experience, and degrees to back up my work and expertise, I consider you to be the expert on yourself, and your experiences. Click below to learn more about some specific questions.

  • Ahead of our first session, you will receive intake paperwork to be completed. These forms must be completed before we meet.

  • In our first session, we will briefly go over the intake forms that you completed electronically. I will spend the majority of the time getting to know you at a pace that is comfortable for our developing relationship—these initial questions & our discussion will likely continue through the second session. Please feel free to ask questions or bring a list of concerns or topics you would like to cover.

Ideally, in those first or second sessions, we will determine a path towards addressing your mental health concerns. This typically entails learning about your current needs, and exploring some of your past. I believe the therapeutic relationship is centered on the idea that the client is the expert on their own lives. You know your experiences best & you know what you need to focus on in therapy. Because of this, I will trust you to come prepared each week with topics & areas of concern that you would like to explore together in your session. You are the guide: you will learn how to voice your needs & reclaim your autonomy by telling me what you want from each session (this is sometimes a scary thing for people-pleasers to face!).

  • You are here to work on you, so I want you to be as comfortable as possible!

    I love when clients:

    • feel comfortable enough to share photos of their life! Got a new plant? New tattoo? Want to show me your dog? All fair game!

    • bring things for comfort! Bring whatever makes you feel cozy and safe, whether it’s a fidget, your cat, or a weighted blanket.

    • get cozy. No need to sit in an office chair if it’s not comfy for you!

    • read me texts that feel relevant. If you find it helpful, I’m open to hearing it all.

    • share the positives, too! I love to hear about the things in your life that you get excited about and that make you, you.

  • As a relational trauma therapist, I only see clients who wish to meet weekly for therapy sessions. This allows me to get to know you & your presenting concerns. After a few months, we can reassess your needs and see where you are at.

  • Sessions are $150 per 50-minute session. Any rate increase will be notified well in advance.

I do not take insurance at this time. I offer the option of superbills, which is a receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You will need to check if you have out-of-network mental health benefits throughout your insurance. Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • What is my deductible for out-of-network coverage? Has it been met?

    • What percentage of each session will I receive as reimbursement? (You might need to specify that CPT code 90834 or 90837 will be used)

    • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

If you would like to receive superbills, please let me know.

Payment is due in full on the day of your session. Your credit card information will be securely stored for automatic processing.

I charge a cancellation fee equal to the cost of your session ($150) if you cancel less than 24 hours before your session.
